Acute rehabilitation facilities are licensed rehabilitation hospitals that provide intensive daily rehabilitation services including physician and nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and psychology. Subacute rehabilitation facilities provide rehab therapies at a lower level of intensity, and are licensed as skilled nursing facilities.
