Brain Injury Awareness Month

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month.
To increase awareness about concussion and other types of brain injury, BIAPA and other affiliates of the Brain Injury Association of America are holding events and offering educational information about this silent epidemic.

Materials to Promote Brain Injury Awareness
There are many ways an individual can promote awareness:

  • Contact your local radio station and ask them to air Public Service Announcements (PSAs). BIAPA has written a series of 30-second PSAs for radio.  These are now available in text and recorded form that is easily accessible for use by radio stations.  Just pass on the link.

  • Send a Letter to the Editor of you local newspaper.  BIAPA has a sample Letter to the Editor that you can use or that can serve as an idea to write your own.

  • Distribute a press release to your local media.  BIAPA has a press release that you can use.
