
There are Support Groups for Brain Injury operating throughout the Commonwealth The Support Group Coordinator: Visits 2 support groups per month, in areas throughout the state Establishes e-mail and other regular communications with all support group facilitators Develops database of information about support group attendance, speakers, available materials Compiles and conducts brain injury support group questionnaires to assess needs Identifies relevant materials and sends monthly mailing of relevant materials to support groups Develops facilitator training modules and implements facilitator trainings Develops support group workshop/modules with prototypical activities Identifies areas for new support groups under-served regions of the state, and develop facilitators for those areas Identifies organizations that have links to brain injury and provides information and conference speakers summarize in database Develops family-to-family mentoring program, implements family-to-family course/workshop For more information, please contact BIAPA's Support Group Coordinator, Monica Vaccaro at vaccaro@biapa.org. |
